  • Texas abolished Harris County’s separate elections-administrator position in 2023, returning election administration to the County Clerk and voter registration to the Tax Assessor-Collector.

Harris County Clerk race

  • Teneshia Hudspeth, incumbent Democrat: said she is seeking re-election “to continue strengthening the Harris County Clerk's Office and protecting the integrity of election administration.” She added, “The biggest issue facing the Harris County Clerk's Office and Texas election officials is unfunded election mandates.” Community Impact
  • Mike Wolfe, Republican: said his focus is “restoring public trust and operational efficiency.” Community Impact

Pasadena

Early-voting locations in Pasadena

Two confirmed early-voting locations are in Pasadena:

  • BakerRipley Pasadena Campus, 720 Fairmont Parkway
  • John Phelps Courthouse, 101 South Richey Street

A third Pasadena site, San Jacinto College Central Science Building, 8060 Spencer Highway, is listed as to be determined in the county’s notice.

For shift workers along the Ship Channel

  • The 12-day early-voting period gives refinery and other shift workers more flexibility than Election Day alone.
  • Both confirmed Pasadena early-voting sites are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays, and noon to 7 p.m. Sundays.
  • Early voting is especially useful for voters whose Nov. 3 work schedules make the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Election Day window harder to reach.

What’s on the ballot

  • Because exact races and candidates vary from ballot to ballot, use your personalized sample ballot on HarrisVotes.com to see the contests tied to your address.
  • Harris County Clerk is a countywide race; see candidate information above.
  • Pasadena ISD board seats are not on this November ballot. Pasadena ISD trustee elections are held in odd years, not with this Nov. 3 election.
  • Pasadena City Council contests, if any, depend on your district and term. Check your sample ballot before assuming a council race is on your ballot.
  • County offices steer local tax and flood dollars, and the Pasadena City Council votes on streets, drainage, and development decisions. The Pasadena ISD board sets school policy, but its board races are not part of this election.
